oh no, not again! by ephemeral-d oh no, not again! by ephemeral-d
pen/ ink on card, which was a former box of chocolates ( have eat them :P )
Used the backside of that box, did it often as a child and now again, they use special paper for that boxes, it seems to me. The drawing becomes different.

It is about a feeling, that appears often, when you come to an age, where things starting to repeat and are not always 'new'. So, the older one here, will probably know, about what I am talking about ;)
It causes tiredness, very often and you don't even try to fight, cause you already know, what it is really about, such kind of things...

She looks also very decadent, in my opinion.
Had to think about a quote of Chateaubriand
"Aristocracy has three successive ages. First superiority, then privileges and finally vanities. Having passed from the first, it degenerates in the second and dies in the third."

And Nietzsche, cause I love him
"A person unlearns arrogance when he knows he is always among worthy human beings; being alone fosters presumption. Young people are arrogant because they always associate with their own peers, those who are all really nothing but who would like to be very important."

And last but not least a little bit Ovid, 'Metamorphoses':

"My riches make me safe. I am greater than any whom Fortune can harm, and though she could take much away, she would leave me much more. Surely my comforts banish fear...."

Niobe ( short before her downfall)
